Reasons why the Dine a Chook Twin Cup Chicken Drinker is better:
A main cause of disease in the chicken coop is contaminated water. If you use a trough or tray where chooks can walk or climb on, the dirt, mud, as well as faeces, end up in their water. In no time at all, these particles become a bacteria soup. Likewise, algae in the water can also speed up bacteria growth. A wet coop floor or muddy puddle caused by spills is another way to track illness throughout the coop.
The Australian-made Dine a Chook tackles these problems head-on. With years of research, the Dine a Chook was the first of its kind in the market and Aussie backyard farmers love it. We use ASA plastic which is better than PVC in the elements. It stops algae and mould growth in the water tank by blocking out UV. Many copies of Dine a Chook use a tube style drinker with either clear plastic or cheap PVC which will become brittle in the elements. ASA thermoplastic won't.
The German Lubing Cup is made by the German company Lubing, a world leader in poultry hydration. The lubing cup system stops spillage and water on the floor of the coop. It also helps prevent mud, dirt and other nasties ending up in the drinking water. We have also upgraded the cup float so your hens get more water in the cup. The system is automatic, so it fills the cup as the water level decreases.
