Made from soft latex rubber with a built in flutter valve ball bearing system (which allows air into the bottle as the lambs are sucking)

Ideal for new born lambs, kids or other small animals

Includes a sturdy cap that screws onto PET bottles (such as soft drink bottles)

The EXCAL teat intake elbow is supplied with stop valve. The valve enhances suckling for newborn or weak calves, but it can be susceptible to blockage when used with some types of powder-mix milk. In these cases it is best to use the non-valve elbow (white colour).

The Excal universal lamb/kid teat fits various bottles & 'calfeteria' feeders (11 mm outside diameter tube). Securely attach to 25 mm-35 mm bottle necks by pulling up outer skirt, inserting teat, & folding down skirt. Use staple/string for air entry if needed. Teat slit must be vertical. For faster bottle feeding, X-cut teat.

Baby-quality strong and clear polycarbonate bottle cleans and sterilizes properly, unlike standard polypropylene bottles. Also the clarity makes for easy visibility of milk level and flow. Like babies bottles, the teat can be inverted with special screw-down cap to seal-off milk. Great for transporting full bottles. Soft latex teat with hollow-cone tip. Or it can be stretched over a ‘pop’ bottle as a bottle feeder (but needs an air-inlet in this configuration). Cross-cut or round hole tip. Hole teat is softer.

Our 'Little Softy' lamb/kid teat has been designed especially for use in our gravity lamb feeders. The Little Softy features the same inverted-tip design as our famous 'Big Softy' calf teat, that is, fast-flow for hungry animals, and a non-leak quality. The Little Softy teat will fit straight into any feeders using standard New Zealand-manufactured pull-through calf teats. This enables any of these type calf feeders to be easily converted to lamb or kid feeding. Or if you wish to create your own feeder, drill 22mm holes in any suitable container. NB: The 'Little Softy' is a very soft 'starter' teat. It will not stand up to heavy use by older lambs and kids. Teats should be changed to the 'Regular' lamb/kid teat at that stage.

These latex teats are ‘baby’ quality in two grades of softness. The ‘natural’ is very soft, ideal as a starter teat for lambs. The ‘black’ is slightly firmer, but will last longer. Hollow-cone tip to be cut off at desired milk flow rate. Teats pull easily over normal 28mm neck soft drink bottles. No air inlet on teat.
