High Tensile Barbed Wire Long-life Blue Features:
Made from continuous no join, high tensile wire in a reverse twist pattern.
Meets Australian Standards (AS 2423:2002) with consistent twisting between barbs.
A flat section every 10 cm ensures barb spacing stays consistent and movement is limited.
Reverse twist pattern provides maximum strength and safety, allows the wire to unravel when it is placed under abnormal loads and reduces possible breaking.
Consistent and closer barb spacing means more barbs for maximum stock pressure and security.
No join in the wire coil provides consistent strength along the length of the reel.
Can be set as a sight or bottom wire, helps cope with added pressure from prime lambs and feral animals.

Product Details 12mm (1/2") aperture Jack Aviary Mesh is an economical, small aperture, medium weight mesh. Ideal for most medium-large birds such as Peachface, Cockatiels, African Love Birds, all Australian Parrots up to Galah Size. The heavy gauge wire keeps out most vermin. It is also suitable for many uses beyond aviary making. Not recommended for species such as cockatoos and macaws. Suggested breeds are a guide only – the actual mesh used will also depend on the design and construction of your cage, aviary or pen. Be sure to take into account wire diameter, aperture and roll size when selecting a mesh for a project. Now also available in our enhanced quality Framing Mesh range. Note: It is recommended that new galvanised wire mesh used in aviaries and pet cages be treated to remove excess zinc that could possibly harm the pets. Shave off any zinc spikes with a utility knife. The mesh should then be scrubbed with a mild solution of vinegar (2 cups in a bucket of water), and rinsed with clean water.
