The collar is fully waterproof and rechargeable with built in 2 hours fast charge battery. The strong transmitter is able to emit an AM radio signal to run up to 40 acres wire/1600 metres wire (extra wire purchased separately). Extra Dogtra EF3500 receiver collars can be purchased here if you need to contain more than one dog. How does it work? The Dogtra EF3500 transmitter plugs into a standard power outlet and emits a radio signal that runs along the containment system wire. Please note: The radio transmitter is NOT water resistant and need to be under cover. The lightweight Dogtra EF3500 receiver collar on the dog’s neck picks up the AM radio signal and alerts him with an optional vibration warning (can be turned off) as he enters the activated field (adjustable from approx 40cm to 6 metres on each side of the wire). If he continues towards the fencing boundary and enters into the stimulation field (adjustable from approx 60cm to 4.5 metres on each side of the wire), he will receive a preset level of correction similar to a static pulse. Stimulation The Dogtra EF3500 has 2 stimulation modes which is controlled from the transmitter. It can be set as vibration only so the dog will only receive a vibration from the collar when it walks into the activated zone. It can also be set as vibration plus stimulation in which the collar will emit a vibration warning when the dog walks into the activated area and if the dog stays longer in the area, he will receive a preset level of stimulation (from level 1 to 8). The stimulation output is adjusted from the collar which means you can set different output for each dog to accommodate different personality and temperament. The stimulation levels range from level 1 to level 8, level 1 being the lowest. Operating Modes

Non-Stimulating High Performance Pager/Vibration (P)
The Dogtra YS600 will vibrate twice when the dog barks. It will not emit any static stimulation. The Pager is great for well trained and sensitive dogs while the dog knows vibration follows by static correction if the dog doesn't stop barking.

Stimulation Intensity Levels (1-10)
The Dogtra YS600 will vibrate once prior to set static correction while the dog barks. This Self - Learning Vibration System that helps the dog to understand the association between vibration warning and static correction.

Testing Mode (T)
In the Testing Mode, the Dogtra YS600 bark control collar will only vibrate when it is activated. The bark detecting sensor will be in high sensitivity setting to activate the collar more easily for testing purpose.

Sensor

The Dogtra YS600 anti barking collar integrates a vibration bark sensor to detect the barking. When the dog barks, the vibration from voice box triggers the sensor. So only the dog wearing the collar is able to activate it. The accelerometer bark sensor has self learning barking pattern of the barking dog, it is recommended to put the collar on charge first when attaching the collar to another barking dog. This recharging process could reset the bark sensor for a different barking dog.

The Persistent Bark Indicator

The Persistent Bark Indicator/LED light activates when the collar is turned off.

- Without excessive barking:

The LED will flash red for 2 seconds when the collar is turned off.

- With excessive barking:

The LED will flash green for 10 seconds when the unit is turned off. In this case, it could mean that the stimulation intensity level is set too low. This could also mean that the collar is not fitting on properly and need to make sure to the collar has a proper fit and both contact points are touching your dog’s neck.

Microphone Sensor

The Dogtra YS300 Barking Collar uses the latest in Dogtra bark control technology with a "sound recognition and filtering microprocessor" which is able to distinguish a dogs' barking from its surrounding ambient noises. This intelligent bark collar is fitted with self-activating micro processing sound analysis technology, which only responds to the bark of your dog.

Indicator Light (LED window)

The indicator light (LED Window) will flash for 1 second when the Dogtra YS300 Bark Control collar has been turned on. Then after 2 seconds, it will flash every 2 seconds. If the collar has been on for over 10 seconds, it will automatically go into sleep mode and the LED light will turn off. Before going into Sleep mode, the LED light flashes green when the battery is fully charged and turns to amber when the battery life is getting low. When the LED indicator emits a blinking red light, the battery needs to be recharged.

Stimulation

The Dogtra YS300 anti barking collarhas 7 levels of static electronic stimulation and a vibration. The "P" level is vibration only mode. This can be effective for some small dogs and/or sensitive dogs as the vibration from the collar may be enough of a distraction to get their attention and stop them from barking.
From levels 2 to 7, a warning vibration is first activated followed by a static stimulation (2 being the lowest, 7 the highest). The ability to manually select the level of correction makes the Dogtra YS300 bark collar ideal for a wider range of dogs compared to automatically-set units. This is due to the fact that you can start off on the lowest setting and, depending on the dog's reaction, increase the level until the right setting is found for your dog.

Testing the Dogtra YS300 bark control collar :

1. Turn the Dogtra YS300 bark control collaron by turning the ON/OFF & Intensity Dial and select the test mode (T) so that the arrow on the dial is aligned with the letter “ T”.

2. Scratching the microphone sensor by using a coin or a hard metal object. The collar should emit a vibration three times. Repeat the same process if you want to test again.
