This unusual all-plastic trocar can be used for emergency bloat. The 10mm bore ensures quick relief of pressure. The whole trocar is punched through the hide, as for usual emergency treatment, and then screwed down until the cannula top is flush on the hide. The trocar is then pulled out allowing the rumen gas and foam to escape. The benefit of this device is that the cannula thread maintains alignment of the rumen against the peritoneum, reducing internal contamination and associated trauma.

Vytrate Sachets when reconstituted as directed provide an oral rehydration therapy containing a balanced mixture of glucose, glycine and electrolytes with the added advantage of being a non-antibiotic oral supportive treatment. Once diluted Vy'trate Solution is isotonic, ensuring glucose and glycine are actively absorbed by the intestinal tract, causing water and sodium to be absorbed simultaneously with these nutrients and resulting in a high degree of rehydration in scouring and dehydrated animals. Where specific disease control (i.e. antibiotic therapy) is indicated, it can be administered in conjunction with Vytrate Solution.

Ultravac® 5in1 represents a new generation of products. The ultra-filtration of the vaccine means that the recommended dose is 2mL for cattle and 1mL for sheep. This means less fridge space is required and fewer vaccine bottle changes are needed when vaccinating large numbers of stock.

2mL followed by a second dose of 2mL 4 weeks later.
Sheep, including lambs

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
Ultravac 7in1 is used for the routine immunisation of cattle for the prevention of:

enterotoxaemia (pulpy kidney disease),
tetanus,
black disease,
malignant oedema (blackleg-like disease), including swelled head in rams,
blackleg in cattle and sheep and
leptospirosis (L. Hardjo and L. Pomona).
For the prevention of urinary shedding of the named leptospires in cattle when used prior to natural exposure and to prevent the risk of human leptospiral infection associated with the shedding of the named leptospires in the urine and from the reproductive tract of cattle.

For the prevention of reproductive tract colonisation and placental and foetal infection with L. Hardjo.

THE ZOETIS ADVANTAGE
Global studies have indicated that Zoetis' leptospirosis vaccines are equal to, if not the best in the world.

Ultravac 7in1 is based on the strain of L. Hardjo prevalent in Australia – Leptospira borgpetersenii serovar Hardjo type hardjo-bovis as well as Leptospira interrogans serovar Pomona.
Ultravac 7in1 vaccine provides unique protection by preventing the shedding of leptospires L. Hardjo and L. Pomona in the urine and from the reproductive tract. This means that as well as the animal being protected from the productivity losses associated with leptospirosis, the vaccine also prevents the animal from contaminating the environment and placing unvaccinated cattle and people at risk.
Ultravac 7in1 can be used from 6 weeks of age (or from 4 weeks of age when the risk of infection is high to provide early age protection – refer to product label for additional advice). This ensures early protection after two initial doses and provides effective year long protection. A single annual dose is all that is required to provide on-going annual protection, without the need for six-monthly booster doses. Note that additional doses of Ultravac 5in1 may be required to maintain immunity to enterotoxaemia (pulpy kidney). These are given prior to seasonal challenge and advice from your local veterinarian is recommended.
